Cuisinart CSK-150 Review

My partner and i was just a little nervous when i bought this kind of skillet, since at that time there were no product reviews on that, but My partner and i was eager, and since i have had had best of luck with other Cuisinart items, I took the opportunity. Am My partner and i glad Used to do! We were just beginning a significant kitchen upgrade, which meant that for a minimum of two months I will have to improvise cooking food facilities regarding 5 adults plus a grandchild. This skillet has been a real workhorse for me, and an authentic lifesaver (and also budget-saver) throughout the remodel. Its cost was only 2 meals for my loved ones at any moderate-cost restaurant, and My partner and i saved that much the initial week through cooking people dinners at home in this kind of skillet instead. Its large capacity helps it be extremely flexible. I’ve used it in order to fry chicken, make one-pan meals, cook sausage and ova, frozen blintzes, pot toast, stir-fry meals, you name it. It makes a lovely risotto, and I have even used it in order to cook corn around the cob and also boil carrots. Everything came out exactly as I’d anticipated, or much better. I ‘m especially pleased with the Cuisinart’s sound, sturdy base that will not let the particular skillet suggestion over and also endanger the particular cook (or the inquisitive grandchild). I furthermore love the particular sturdy nonstick surface area, which after two months of repeated use continues to be like new, in contrast to some nonstick pots and pans I’ve had in which the coating scrapes or used off thus quickly that through the 3rd or 4th utilize the food needed to be chipped out. The temperature control responds rapidly, too. You can simply buy any cheaper electrical skillet, but if you are using it often, a low-cost pan will be trash very quickly and you might not be pleased with the method it performs in that short life time. This Cuisinart is worth it, and I be prepared to be making use of mine to get a long, long moment. » Read more..

Cuisinart GR-4N

I got myself a G4 Griddler coming from Amazon inside 2005, and employed it once or twice a few days (a minimum of) until it had to be put out there to pasture in 2010 due to failure of the non-stick coating about the plates. (The particular coating begun to bubble and peel, and nobody wants that inside their food…) My partner and i loved it. (See my report on the Cuisinart GR-4 Griddler Stainless-Steel 4-in-1 Grill/Griddle and Panini Press) It had been still operating great, but alternative plates are not available.

I has been elated any time offered the opportunity to evaluate its smarter younger sibling, the GR-4NAM Griddler. I could not wait because of it to get here and operate it via its paces.

At very first glance, the GR-4NAM seems virtually identical towards the G4. However, closer inspection reveals that it is often totally redesigned, and for that better.

Improvement: The grease catcher used to be a tiny cup that had to be set beneath a spout on the side of the underside plate. If it absolutely was positioned wrongly, (or perhaps forgotten regarding), greased dripped on the counter. The grease catcher is currently integrated to the Griddler as a drawer-like device that may be pulled out to clean, and next put back place for that next use.

Improvement: The unique G4 had two units of discs – one flat arranged, one ridged arranged (regarding paninis). There is currently one reversible pair of plates (ridged on one side, flat about the other), and therefore you should not find a storage place for that plates not in use. The new plates have a good substantial weight. I don’t have the aged ones right here for comparison, but the caliber of the discs certainly wasn’t cheapened.

Improvement: It used to be a tiny tricky that will put the plates in position and to eliminate them. There has been also an improvement between the top plate and also the bottom, so you had to take care not to try that will put them in the wrong way. The plates will have an identical shape, so they’re interchangeable, and the particular release switches activate a spring-loaded system that jumps the menu loose regarding easy removal.

Now, to observe it cooks: The Griddler will take about so long to heat up as a good-quality waffle metal. Just when you begin to acquire impatient from it, it’s prepared.

The initial thing that My partner and i cooked has been a no-no inside the eyes regarding Cuisinart — a bone-in, skin-on lower-leg and thigh chicken 1 / 4. Too heavy, they say. HA! says My partner and i, because I will be a little bit of an anarchist. I marinated the particular chicken in essential olive oil and rosemary, heated the particular Griddler to Medium. I prepared it about the panini discs because I really like those tiny fake barbecue stripes across my foods. It proved helpful just good. (I should have taken a photo, it arrived looking gorgeous. But My partner and i was famished.)

Word regarding warning: Do not cook heavy or fatty meat on High – you’re going to get grease spatters everywhere. Medium operates just fine in many cases.

I identified from my own old Griddler that after cooking meat it’s best to turn from the heat just before it’s done, and allow it finish cooking with all the residual heat inside the plates. That approach the meat will not get overdone.

For clean-up, I let the plates cool down, and next put a wet document towel throughout the bottom menu and near the top and allow it sit for some time. The dampness softens whatever is stuck towards the plates, and then it could be easily laundered off using a sudsy cloth or sponge or meal wand.

Today regarding lunch, I created myself a sandwich together with sliced sourdough breads, cooked sliced chicken, fresh grated parmesan parmesan cheese and dried out basil. I followed the panini directions inside the small cookbook that is included with the Griddler. Well, I sort of followed the particular directions… Cuisinart suggests brushing the outside the sandwich with essential olive oil. I would rather use dissolved butter on panini as it makes the particular sandwich crisper.

I preheated the particular Griddler on High, placed the particular sandwich inside, and utilized light pressure for around 30 seconds, and then allow it cook. The directions say to cook panini for around 4 -5 minutes, but my own sandwich was prepared to eat inside 2 minutes. Maybe the particular butter tends to make the breads brown quicker than essential olive oil.

In virtually any case, it has been beautiful — evenly browned, crunchy and delicious, and I did take a photo (notice product pictures).

How long lasting will the particular GR-4NAM become? Good issue. From exactly what I can easily see so far, Cuisinart has only created the Griddler far better. But time is the real test of high quality. I will report back every so often regarding toughness.

Right now, I’d say this appears like an outstanding buy.

UPDATE, January 2011:

The Griddler is still in great shape. Granted, I ‘m not using it as frequently when i did my own original one, but that’s because there are fewer lips to feed within my household now than there used to be. I have no cautionary tales to increase the evaluate. Hmmm… I think I’ll go make a grilled parmesan cheese sandwich…. » Read more..

Cuisinart GR-4N Great Reviews

Cuisinart GR-4N review : i’m not as impressed as i believed i would be. It says you can alter the top therefore your food cooks evenly however you actually can’t and every one it does is push the food toward the front almost off the grill. Also, unless I fold a towel and place it beneath the front bottom, the liquid won’t drain into the drain dish. Overall, i actually miss my Demi grill that I gave to my daughter once I bought this one. perpetually had nice product from Cuisinart – this one was a mistake! i’m finding out alternative indoor grills as a result of I cook 3-4 days a week on mine and can simply write this one off as a foul investment.

Cuisinart DLC-2007 Customer Review

Cuisinart DLC-2007 review : This product replaces a twenty six year old cuisinart food prep that really simply got handed right down to the daughter who was getting into her 1st apartment. i favor the redesigned food chute and also the a lot of nicer way the highest slides and locks onto the bowl. this is often smaller than my 1st cuisinart but i’m only prepping for two most of the time currently, thus i’m happier to trot out the smaller size. It does a awfully nice job of chopping, slicing and shredding and is not too loud about doing those things. But, time can tell as to whether it and it’s bowl will go the distance!

Cuisinart DCC-2000 Best Review

Cuisinart DCC-2000 review : the good is that it is a great coffemeaker and i am fond of it for many reasons, most of them already mentioned in these reviews.

The flaw on behalf of me is that the inner tank is clumsy to scrub. it has an inner lip that produces you have got to invert the factor crazy like in the sink and rinse repeatedly to urge all the occasional and water out. and that float factor goes kloncking round the whole time.

That’s about it very. I already use a spouted measuring cup to feature water since i take advantage of water from a water cooler. I created markings on it with a sharpie therefore i know what quantity water to feature.

I would like to be able to fit travel cups beneath the spout like my recent Black & Decker, however i actually liek the programmable feature and that the occasional never burns.

Cuisinart CPB-300 Best Reviews

Cuisinart CPB-300 review : the most reason I got this was to make healthy smoothies within the morning. I required it to crush ice- it does! It had no assembly, watch the video- its true to create. i feel for what I required it for its a good deal and so far i am very pleased!

Cuisinart CMW-100 Review

Cuisinart CMW-100 review :
I’ve had this microwave for many days now, and it has worked fine.

What’s nice:

- Brushed stainless steel exterior is pretty slick wanting.

- Stainless interior should be easier to take care of than microwaves that have enameled interiors (just would like the interior surfaces weren’t therefore shiny).

- Door features a refrigerator-type handle, which for some reason i prefer better than the everyday microwave button-press doors.

- variant ventilation openings on the microwave = less condensation inside the oven compartment (my recent microwave was like a soaked sponge on the inside).

- Loud beeper are often heard over household din (see below).

- initial six numeric buttons correspond to “Express Cook” times = one button operation for most of my microwave cooking desires. can fine tune with ” 30 sec” button to form those pizza rolls just right.

- the rest of the buttons are clearly marked and straightforward to know.

- Overall operation within reason quiet compared to what others have posted here(much quieter than my recent microwave).

- Instruction booklet is short, however well written.

What’s not therefore nice:

- As way as I can tell, that loud beep tone cannot be adjusted, therefore I can see how it would annoy some.

- there is an “AM/PM” button whose sole perform appears to be to inform the user if the time displayed is AM or PM – strange. it would are much handier to have a button that incrementally controls the beeper volume…

- Power is 1,000 watts, and turntable diameter is 12.4″ – could also be a bit underpowered and smallish for some users.

- wanting to get hold of come shipment on warranty repair isn’t honest. (California residents have a a lot of versatile warranty)

I bought this item assuming that in this case, since Cuisinart remains manufacturing and selling this model, they either tightened quality management or the overwhelming majority of people who own this oven are happy, and just haven’t written “pro” reviews on Amazon.

I will amendment my review if needed, but so far, so good…
